DAMM Good Day

If you know anything about MADD, then you know that they are, at the very least, a paid mouthpiece for the cops and prosecutors who want to generate as much secret tax money as possible from American citizens.  At the worse they have committed fraud (if the allegations are true).  In the middle, you could say they lack financial accountability for the millions upon millions of dollars that the American taxpayers have given them.  But, today is not a MADD rant day for me.  Today is a DAMM good day for me.

DAMM stands for Drivers Against MADD Methods, and is an organization that debunks a lot of what you hear from MADD mouthpieces.  (Read this article that debunks the BAC myth. Or this one, that talks about roadblocks and flashlights with a BAC detector built in.)  Their website is informative and well worth the read.  If you're in a state that has checkpoints (like Texas has proposed) then you might want to sign up for their text alerts that will notify you where and when checkpoints are being held.

If you or someone you love has fallen victim to the MADD madness, then check out this site and tell us what you think.  If you are a citizen that has not gotten caught up in the MADDness, but are concerned whenever the government and a private agency join forces to violate the rights of our citizenry, then you should check it out as well.
