Jamie and Terry MacCarthy visit after the Summer Session of the NCDD at Cambridge (Harvard University)
Terry MacCarthy is the Executive Director of the Federal Defender Office in Chicago and a master teacher of trial advocacy techniques. Drawing on his experience conducting hundreds of cross examinations in both civil and criminal trials, he developed an innovative strategy for cross that he has taught around the country. Appointed first ever Federal Defender, Mr. MacCarthy is a much sought-after CLE speaker whose trainings have been well-received by prosecutors, defense attorneys, and other criminal justice system personnel. He is the recent author of "MacCarthy on Cross-Examination" published by the American Bar Association.
