Hey Ya’ll,
I would like to say the banner job Jamie did in handling my case a few years ago. In a nutshell, he was able to determine that the arresting officer was placed on administrative leave, prior to our actual court date. The charges against the officer were Tampering with Evidence. Jamie very skillfully allowed the case to proceed to the trial date. We appeared on our court date with copies of the officers personnel files and sprang the surprise on the judge and the prosecutor that they didn’t have an officer to present their case. Result – case dismissed – Jamie Rocks!!!!

My Suppression Hearing was held and [one of your associate attorneys] was present for my defense. There were 2 motions to suppress filed on my behalf. One motion basically said that there was no proper reason to pull me over and the other motion basically said that there was no legitimate reason to arrest me. I know these suppression hearings are "long shots" and rarely successful. [Your attorney] reminded me of that prior to the hearing to set my expectation level. You should be very proud of your associate. While very humble and unassuming in his demeanor and approach, [Your attorney] did a masterful job of literally carving up the District Attorney and the DA's star witness, the arresting officer. Quite frankly, [he] exposed the arresting officer for the buffoon that he was. He got the officer to admit he didn't know the meaning of the word intoxication even though he arrests people for being intoxicated. [He] quite literally pulled the officer's pants down in front of the judge when he asked the officer to explain to the court what the proper procedure was to administer an HGN test and the officer just stammered and stuttered and couldn't answer. The embarrassment continued as the officer couldn't answer what the test was designed to measure, what the proper location of the stimulus was for conducting the test, or even whether the eye socket had multiple muscles. [He] used the administration of the HGN test to introduce my video, which really sealed the deal. The officer had testified that I was slurring my speech. The video showed that to be a lie. The officer had testified that I was swaying on my feet. The video showed that to be a lie too. [He] used the introduction of the film to point these things out. To top things off, [he] got the arresting officer to admit on the stand that he did not administer the HGN test correctly. After seeing the arresting officer on the stand and watching the film, my feeling is that the judge was literally embarrassed by the arrest and the DA's case. After everything was said and done, the judge ruled that there was no legitimate reason to arrest me and granted the motion to suppress, which means the case against me will be dismissed. Finally, justice was served. I thank you and your associates for making this possible.
This has been an exceptionally long and stressful process. It has taken 2 years; lots of vacation time from work and thousands of dollars. I can honestly say that this has been the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced in my adult life. I have never in my 44 years of life been in trouble with the law or had anything more than a traffic ticket. For people not familiar with criminal law enforcement, the whole "world" of bail, jail, rights, diversions, motions, hearings, and charges is downright scary and alien. The police only tell you what they have to. The laws are written to the lowest human standards like town drunks and alcoholics who are repeat offenders, not for responsible, tax-paying professionals. Even though only accused and not convicted of anything, you are treated as a criminal. Even in the modern world of the internet and unlimited information, it is crucial to have experts in your corner from the very start. Please feel free to share this message with potential clients like myself who have been accused of a crime that they did not commit and feel they are victims of police incompetence and misconduct.
